Hey kids. Its been a busy week, but the work feels rewarding after a while. Who Am I kidding, what I wouldn't give for a couple of days of nothing but sleep, but there is plenty of time for that when I'm dead.
So, its been a good week, if uneventful. Went to the MFA for a "college night" on monday. Worked on my costume some on wednesday. Went and spent the evening at Harvard square on thursday. Tonight I'm planning on trying to head out and pick up Nick. Tommorow will hopefully be paintball and costume shopping. Sunday is My cousins Birthday party (HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARA!!!).
Ok, seeing as how i'm feeling very literary right now, lets talk about something deeper than the typical rantings. Lets talk about good and evil. First let us establish that neither of these is a physical thing as well as the fact that no one person represents one or the other completely. Secondly, lets establish that both are relative, and each and every person has their own ideas about what is good and what is evil. That being said, why would someone choose one over the other, and for that matter is it ever even a choice? Does someone one day wake up and say to themselves, "Enough of this middle of the fence stuff. Today i'm going to become a saint"? I have a hard time seing someone actually give something like that a thought. They just are or are not one way or another. And also, if someone is what would be socialy accepted as 'evil' would they think that they are being evil, or would they believe they are doing noing wrong due to some skewed morals. Very interesting things to think about, but not really what I came here to talk about.
Why would someone choose evil rather than good? Primarily in TV and movies and literature, people choose evil for wealth or power. This has a logical and tangable texture to it. Anyone can say, "hey, I wish I had more money. Lets rob a bank". Some turn to evil for revenge perposes. .... ok, I got to finish this later. I basicly wanted to get around to someone being evil to try and polarize more people to good by giving a distinct comparison as well as a pole that people do not equate themselves with. Such is life.
