Hello my little scarlet Bloggers. Its monday. Work is busy enough that i'm worried about acomplishing end of the fiscal year goals. So, I decided to take this lunch period to talk to you all. Talk of hopes and dreams. Of Past and future. Of movies and adventures.
Ok, so first and formost. Last night I watched two movies. Well I also watched Dick Tracy, but thats an older movie, and I assume you all have seen it. And if you haven't, borrow it from me. Truely one of the better comic book movies. Either that or the Rocketeer are the ones that started it all (Pshaw.... and I don't want any of you mentioning that Alien that protects Metropolis in that fruity red cape). ~Ok, so first I watched a Korean Film by the same director as "Old Boy". The Movie was called "Sympathy for Mr. Vengence". It was a very intense movie. The general gist of it is there is this deaf and mute boy whos sister is dying from kidney failure and whos girlfriend is an anarchist organizer. The boy wants to donate his kidney for his sister. He isn't the same blood type. He wants to Make a deal with the black market to trade his kidney for one of the proper blood type. He wakes up without his kidney and without any money. A doner for his sister is found, but as aformentioned, he no longer has the money for the procedure. His GF decides that the only way to get the money is to kidnap the daugher of his old boss. They kidnap the girl. She just thinks she is on vacation and the sick sister plays games with her all day. Sick sister finds out that she was kidnapped for her benefit and kills herself. Brother goes to burry the sister and the little girl accidentaly drowns. And then the rest of the movie is the father living up to the name "Mr. Vengence". He is an electrical engineer mind you, so they have a lot of fun with that in the movie. Definitely one that I would recomend for all of you that liked "Old Boy". ~The second Net Flicks movie of the evening was "Moonstruck". I had never seen this movie before, and was a little worried because it was not only a 'chick movie' but also had Cheir and Nick Cage staring. I really liked it. Most of the Italian family stuff felt real, and most of the lovy dovy stuff wasn't too overpowering to ignore. Mr. V gets 2 paragraphs, this gets a few sentences, what can I say ....
Ok, I in my last few minutes lets talk about next weekend. First and formost I would like to retrieve Mr. Anderson and would like to make an adventure of heading out to do so. This probably would involve lots of people, and probably some alcohol. The next morning is going to be paintballing out in bridgewater. And I was thinking that evening we could go to see that movie coming out called "Fly Boys". This could always be shifted to friday night for the jewish of us celebrating on saturday. Its also been a while, so maybe we could play some A&A for old times sake.
Ok, those are my thoughts. Hopefully i'll see you all soon.
::On that new survivor they went to where the Asians where building a shelter on the beach and it looked like everything had been smashed. The camera crew asked what had happened. The asians continued to run around and scream GODZILLA::
