So, this was a good weekend. It started out with the x-mas party at work. The food was sparse, the beer was american, and there was no where to sit. After that I went Out with Missy to see Closer and Garden State. Closer was good, but was depressing if you have any asperations for what might be defined as true love. Garden State I had seen before, but was well worth seeing again (On a side note I saw it at Quincy center which is obviously going through some sort of mid life crisis because they all of a sudden changed so that all off their movies, at any time are $2.50).
Friday afternoon I met up with Matt, Mike and Chuck. We went to the gallarea and walked around a bit. We then went to eat at a place called Dino's in the north end. I had seen the place on The Phantom Gormet, and it was just as good as they said it was. Afterwards we went accross the street to a bread/pastry place and got some desert. Our next stop was Canall st near the Fleet center (Who knows how much longer it will be called that [The Bank of Boston Center!!]). We went to the Boston Beer works there and played pool for two hours (a total of $2.50 per person because of the coupon chuck brought) and generally had a grand old time.
Saturday, I was supposed to meet up with Missy and then with Stephany at 10:30 so we could go to the Fettish Fair together. Missy bailed and Stephany's friends were late, which ment I was on Newberry St reading comic books until noon. Once they showed up, the fair was interesting. I don't think I've quite adjusted to the concept of people having sex and being comfortable with it yet, because after about four hours I started getting a little jittery and stressed out. It really reminded me of those times I tried to go to the high school dances and had those anxiety attacks, and I feel that I was a bit rude when I told Stephany that I had to go. From there I took a walk down Newberry St to the commons where I sat and cried for a while. Nothing else to do in boston that didn't involve money or people, so I headed home. Library closed, couldn't hang out there. The Wheelhouse Diner was closed so I couldn't curb my craving for scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. I just drove home and at for an hour. Then I went to pick up the girls, and we went to see A series of unfortunate events. That is an amazing movie, and even though I haven't read the books, I would gladly see it again, and I actually caught myself thinking during the movie that I really wanted to buy the DVD. Jim Carrie really made the movie as the main villian.
Sunday was a bit of a waste of time, and I spent most of it reading, sleeping, eating, and composing this blog (even though its no longer Sunday).
So, the count down of days has begun until x-mas and new years. Plans are in sway to have a massive group of people to hang out with on new years eve in boston, but you know how that always ends up. We probably will just have 5 or so people and go to see the ice sculptures for a few hours until the fireworks start. We are also trying to plan out when we will have our LOTR marathon and how we will manage to stay interested for 14 hours. So far we have decided to break it into 3 days with drinking games to keep us entertained.
Ok, so thats that. Hopefully I'll see you all in the upcomming week(s). If not, I'll see you next year. Take care of yourselves kids.
