So, this weekend didn't go as I forsaw it to, but it was still good. I expected to go camping this weekend, but all the other scouts were really young, so I felt like I shouldn't go. And its a good thing too, because they were caught in snow and freezing rain, so I lucked out. I got a lot of christmas shopping done, but none for you I'm sure. The rest of my weekend was filled with World of warcraft stuff.
Rewinding a bit, I hung out with Chuck, Brian and Mike on Thursday. We went to see Team America World Police. It was an amazingly funny and informed view on world politics, but it was a bit too graphic at some points.
Wow, my life is getting boreing. I'm afrade that if I loose my edge, younger, stronger crazy people (namely Nick) will encroach upon my land and rape my cattle. With that in mind....
Tales From The Other Side Of Sanity
So, I was buying shoes today, and there was this child who was with his mother and father there. The child was being a holy terror and just wouldn't sit still. Both the mother and the father were trying to convince the child that he should not be acting up, but there was no fear instilled in the child, so he was not listening. I felt bad for the parents, so I started thinking about how I could help. So, while I was waiting for the clerk to bring out the shoes I asked for, and while the parents were faceing the opposite direction, I stared at the child, until we made eye contact. I then squinted up my eyes and did the best scary glare that I could manage (Keep in mind that I was wearing my ankle length gray coat, and my fadora). Finaly before the mother turned around to see what the kid was looking at, I bared my teeth at the child. I don't know if this was a long term solution, but for the rest of the time that I saw the child he didn't move too much. I can now add "scaring children away from miss-behaving" to my resume.
So, thats my weekend. I spent a lot of money, and found out why there are so many advertisements for Pom on the subway. It was a good weekend. Hopefully next weekend will be a good one, but if not, the next week is thanksgiving, and should be a blast. Take care of yourselves until then.
