This was an interesting weekend. I had the time to watch the next "Roughnecks" DVD, and I really love that show. I also watched a movie called "The Reconing", with William Defoe and Paul Bethany. It was quite an awesome movie, but I thought the ending wasn't as good as it should have been. I guess it might have just been that the bad guy looked creeepy, but he just didn't act to inforce that creepynesss.
On Friday, I went with Chuck and his parents to Mohegan Sun. Quite an awesome place, even though the vibe of human desperation and shattered hope was everywhere. We took in the night life. The first of this was we went to a concert by 'Air Supply'. All of their songs were starting to get a little sicking with the whole Love theme. Oh and the taller guy .... was way to jumpy ... seriously there is nothing sadder than an ageing rocker. Afterwards we went to a commedy show. They watered down my drink, but it was ok, the commedians were funny. I also find it amusing that I have yet to see a female commedian who is actually funny and is not a lesbian. Afterwards we went to a night club and I watched drunk women dancing suggestively on table tops. At this point I saw the only Native American I was going to see on this trip. It was rather amusing that the man was masive and basicly got everything he wanted, plus he constantly had two women and what appeared to be one body guard near him at all times. If you want a mental picture, think King Pin from Spiderman/DareDevil.
Saturday was filled to the brim with action, adventure and alcohol. First we ate at the Mohegan Sun free buffett. Then we headed over to fox woods to see how much like a mall it was. Afterwards we went to eat at the olive garden (all you can eat salad, bread sticks and pasta ...... mmmmm). Afterthat we went to the Emrald Mall (Atleburrow or something), and walked around a bit. We then came strait home, at which point I headed back out to see Steph's new apartment, watch her have a bit too much wine, have a bit too much myself, and hear her complain about Kurt. We then headed over to a place called Copperfields (Downstairs) and got in to see Kurts band (oh, they sucked so bad, but its cool, it was only 2 dollars to get in). For the record the drinks are relatively moderatly priced and not watered down -> I.E. -> I was quite drunk about an hour in. Then I came home.
So, that was my weekend. Right now I'm about to head over to a cousin's B-day Party. So, I'll probably see you all next weekend. And there will be Anime, and Beer, and goodnesss. Take care.
