Ok, something funny is going on here. It takes me a few refreshes to see my blog, and it took me a while to get to this posting window. I hope it all doesn't crash down around me. Whatever.....

I have to imbelish the tales of this weekend. Saturday and Sunday mornings were spent in preparation for the hoards that decended upon our home. On Saturday, people started showing up around 7:00, and we hung out until about 8:30 playing Bocchii, eating, and the like. Me, my friends, my cousins, my back-pack full of fireworks, and my hand-held butaine toarch all headed up to the other side of the island. The fire was just being lit as we arived. The top of it was a x-mas tree with a NY yankees hat atop, and when it burned, people cheared. My crew and I then proceded to hang within 15 feet of the inferno. It was hot enough to get a sun-burn from, but we all survived well. Many of the fireworks that I had were disapointing. The best of them being bumble-bees and the like. I also enjoyed the roman candles greatly. The jumping jacks were disapointing, as well as the spark shower ones. After the crazyness, we headed back home, had some popcicles, then I drove my friends home. After I got back, I watched my sisters friends play Texas holdem until 1:00.
Sunday was better, if that can be imagined. The entire day (more or less from 1:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M.) was filled with everything that you could imagine. There was so much food, that I felt like bursting a few times. There were so many people and I was constantly droping from one conversation to another. We played Bocchii, we played basket ball, we played texas holdem, we played lots of board games, we drank, we ate, and we all enjoyed ourselves. At dark, we took out the remainder of the fireworks, and I tried to do a bit of a pre-esplanade-fireworks show for the kids. It all went well, except for my tourch cutting out on me a few times. I'll have to figure it all out.
Well, thats it. It was crazy, it was fun, and we still have so much food, and to much stuff to clean up.
Tommorow is work, but its ok because (1)Its a 3 day week, (2)I'm having lunch with Heather (3)Friday is the Dresden Dolls Concert at the Paradise along with the Dolls Picnic. Life is good. Hopefuly I don't regret saying that.

I'm sorry for all of you that missed the festivities this year, but my brain is already stuing over next years 3rd + 4th. Pictures should be up soon.
