Why hello and welcome,
Today we will be talking about how much the company 'Blizzard' kicks ass. Some of you must be farmiliar with blizzard, but for those of that arn't, they are a california based computer game company. They have created such fantastic games as "The Lost Vikings", "Diablo", "Starcraft", and their most famous series of games "WarCraft". Now, you are probably asking yourself, "Self, why is Blizzard such a kick ass company? Arn't there other gaming companys that have created more games?" Ah, I'm glad you asked. Blizzard is so good, because the people that work there arn't just gamers, they are artists. They don't just create a small part of the world that you are going to be in, they create all of it [even if no one except for them knows or see's it]. They don't just come up with what happened days before your arrival into the game, they write lore and histories that lead back hundreads of years if not to the beginning of time. And then, all of their games are graphicly stunning. The creatures and beings that they create are so vivid and life like that you sometimes start to feel emotionaly attached to them. For those of you that don't know the joys of Blizzard, please go out and purchase one of their older games and see for yourself how good they are. Diablo is very good. WarCraft I is my personal favorite. Starcraft is amazing. WarCraft II is ok. WarCraft III came out a few months ago and it has been the only thing that I have played since then [its that good!!].
And thats not all! Blizzard is comming out with two new games that should be out by the end of this year. The first is a FPS console game. This just means that you go around and shoot stuff in a gaming system like x-box or Game Cube [Very much like GoldenEye for those of you who have N64]. Even though I don't have any of the systems that this game will be coming out for, I am still excited, because the graphics look amazing. For those of you that know Starcraft, you actually get to play as a 'Ghost' and kill zergling, hydralisks and zealots [close up]. FUN FUN. The other game that is coming out, is more exciting to me [the computer gamer]. The game is called World Of WarCraft and it looks absolutely amazing. It is a Massively Multiplayer On-line Role Playing Game (MMORPG). This means that you create a charactor [strenght, weapons, looks, skills, height, weight, gender, race, etc.], and through this charactor you fight monsters and go on quests. These quests gain you experience, items [like weapons, armor, food, statues, furniture, rocks, books, boxes, etc.], and money. The more experience you gain, the higher level you become and the bigger the monsters you can fight. Now, some of you might think this is stupid. Of course these few of you don't realize that even though this is the point of the game, it isn't the only reason why people play. MMORPG's are notorious for drawing in many many people from all over the world to spend most if not all of their time 'in game'. Why you ask? Because for those of us that are not able to be social in the real world, use this fake world to socialize. There are the warriors, that only are in-game for the thrill of the hunt and kill. There are the kill stealers [usually archers] that follow warriors around and manage to get the killing blow on the enemy [there by granting them the rights to the kill and all the experience and treasure that goes along with it]. There are the murchants that spend their entire in-game experience tradeing goods and money among people. There are the Roleplayers that run around the world pretending to actually be who their charactor is. And finaly[this is not even close to the entire list of the types of people who play MMORPG's] there are the DEV's. The DEV's are the developers personified in game, which makes them psudo-gods. You can hunt monsters, you can raid dungeons, you can have epic quests to find magical items, you can hang around a bar in town and get drunk, you can fight with other actuall players, and really, you can do whatever you damn well feel like doing. Hopefully this game will beout at the beginning of next year, because I can't wait to start playing in it.
[For those of you that managed to read through the entire last paragraph, or at lest saw what it was about and skippied it, you must realize that Chris is a sad pathetic, person]. [I will admit that we need a girlfriend, or at least sex, to fix this sad pathetic, geakeness]. [If anyone would care to help me with this I would be grateful ;)]. [And with that we leave you].
Yours forever,
CJ & Scarlet
